Recently, we acknowledged the 2nd anniversary of this pandemic, and I am sure we have all wondered, at least once, how it has affected us all. In this event, our speakers tell you how it has been affecting our youth and the various methods used to measure our well-being.

This event will be held in English.

Mental health of high school students and apprentices during COVID-19

Rachel Dale (Postdoctoral Researcher)
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of our lives. However, research shows young people are the most affected. Our research investigates how the mental health of young people has changed during the pandemic and which groups have been affected the most. This informs us how to help in the most effective way and hopefully reduce the long-term effects of the pandemic on the lives of our young people.

Developing & testing our well-being

Veronika Ploke (PhD student)
With the development of positive psychology across the last decades, much has happened in psychological research.
My talk will focus on how positive psychology has influenced science through the following topics:
How is it possible to measure a construct like well-being?
What can you do to increase your well-being?
And finally, do "Blue Mondays" really exist?
