Combining neuroscience and technology. How can we utilize virtual reality to better understand and support our brain?
Synchronize Your Mind With The Metaverse
Silvia Kober
(Senior Scientist at the Department of Psychology at the University of Graz)
In this presentation, I will discuss interfaces between the human brain and virtual worlds. Is it possible to control virtual reality (VR) using brain signals? What are the possibilities and limitations of such a human-VR interface, and what about ethical considerations? These and related questions will be addressed.
The Science of Seeing Art: Decoding Aesthetic Experience
Zoryana Andrusyak
(Master Student at the Technical University of Graz)
Have you ever wondered what makes an artwork aesthetically pleasing? Is it the size, shape, or something else that draws us in? In our study, we explore these questions through modern figurative sculptures. Using Virtual Reality, eye-tracking, and brainwave recordings, we analyze how people perceive and evaluate 3D artworks. By combining psychology, neuroscience, and machine learning, we uncover the features that shape our emotional and aesthetic experiences with sculptures.
